Headed over to Home Depot, and bought materials for our 'refinish the fence' project. Quite amazing people watching. I wonder what it is about Home Depot... perhaps that it draws such a cross-section of the population.
Back home, put down tarps, and sprayed stripper on the fence. MB helped. We managed not to get too upset with each other when things weren't working exactly as planned. Much scrubbing and spraying of water. I went back to HD and got some more stripper. We cleaned up, and ended our project for the day, exactly at 6 PM.
I got cleaned up, and went out to pick up a pizza. The guys at the pizza shop were of course, talking about the price of gasoline. One of them told me that the cash register, which has been with the business for 58 years, may be replaced soon. The problem is the old one doesn't tally above $5. I guess 58 years ago $5 was a lot more money. MB and I ate pizza and salad. I paid bills and sorted through mail. She headed out for a BD gig. I headed down basement and spent a focused hour in daily practice. Resurfaced around 10 PM.
Called F&M, and decided to pay them a visit. Saw F's new pet, Phil (whose name I use without permission, but who I trust would not mind), an African millipede. Talked with M a bit. Back home, played F's mandolin (Bicycling to Afghanistan is a hoot... Every Crafty should take a mandolin for a spin.) We watched "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind." Such a wonderful film. Gave F a ride home. Some concluding practice. And bed.
