angry awakening

Wednesday: Woke around 8:00, to MB getting up. After she left I was lazing, when the phone rang. It was the plumber who runs the company that installed our furnace and hot water tank. She said that they had dropped the key in my mailbox, and that was the end of it as far as they were concerned. She also said, in a hostile tone of voice, that she had read my report of her company on the internet site that I had used to contract them in the first place. She hung up on me. Not the best way to start the day. Shower, then morning practices in the dance room. Breakfast and a little guitar. Pulled my stuff together, down basement briefly, and said hello to Christine.

Stopped at the post office and sent off some flyers to TG. In to work. A bug I had fixed bounced back to me from testers. It's actually a slightly different, but related, bug they are complaining about now. Emails to various folks, mostly about add-on issues. Took a walk out (very nice weather) and flyered H Sq, hitting several CD stores, and putting a couple around on the street (though I know they'll get pulled down almost immediately). Pizza. Rita is heading for Texas. Saw Martha Stewart saying how lucky she thinks everyone is, that she was letting us watch her on TV. Ran out of time on the bounced back bug. Left at 6:35.

KKC, and feeling pretty sleepy. Class only ran for an hour tonight, and then it was a ceremony. I sat on a chair in the back and followed along in English. Afterwards, talked to Nick and Rbt briefly. Wendy's sister is in town (from Australia), and it was nice to see her. Said hello briefly to Wnd, and she gave me a little prayer wheel that she'd gotten in AZ.

Stopped at the grocery store on the way home. Talked to my mom about our trip to NYC on Saturday, and staying at her house. Picked up a few essentials. Back home, and talked to MB while I ate a little lasagna. Her friend, who escaped New Orleans after Katrina, is trying to figure out how to go back to get her stuff. We may take a road trip down with her. That could be pretty educational. A little guitar and some email. Soon bed.
