police activity

Friday: Up around 8:30, as MB headed out. Brief web. Shower, packing. Morning practices. Some breakfast and a little guitar. Down basement briefly, no Christine. Noticed that the soft top of my car has three distinct slices in it, that look like they were made with a razor blade. Overcast in the morning, clearing in the afternoon.

Headed to work. A long conversation with B about a new architecture to replace the one I was working on. More emails with add-on makers. A tweak, trying to resolve an add-on's bug (which didn't help). Released a new dev kit internally, adding a small feature we need for our own add-ons. Ate some lasagna at my desk. Left at 6:15.

Back home, some last minute things, and then on the road with MB by about 7:15. Stopped at a rest area near the 84 join. Bits of heavy traffic, but overall OK. Listening to Negativeland's Dispepsia, Primus, and RF String Quintet. On 91 there was some major police activity going on... many vehicles with flashing lights, a helicopter with a search light, German Shepherds, and so on. MB saw a guy lying (possibly handcuffed) in the grass. Stopped at a rest area, on the Merit for coffee. A guy was waiting for his wife, and asked us about what was going on on 91.

Arrived at my mom's about 10:45. Made the bed, and had a good conversation, about the shaky state of the world, and MB's relationship with her brother. We have an early morning tomorrow, so to bed soon.
