Ophelia's Skirt

Friday: Up with MB around 8. Another overcast day with bouts of rain. Ophelia's skirt, I believe. Quick email check. Fed the cats as MB headed off to work. Shower. Breakfast. A little guitar, then downstairs for morning practice. During my sitting, I heard the street cleaner drive past. I knew this meant that I had just received a parking ticket. How did it get to be the third Friday of the month? Also heard M arrive to clean. When I came back up, chatted with her for awhile, giving computer advice and showing her some settings in the software that I work on. Headed out.

Drove across town to work. A solid day in the office. Looked into a very puzzling bug with an add-on, where one variant when loaded trashes the OS in a way that we hang trying to receive user input. The same add-on's synchronization feature is now functioning well. But the real work of the day was hunting down a subtle and long standing bug, where the function of provisional tailoring elements would sometimes be foiled by elements being inserted beyond the bounds of the working segment. I seem to have come to some sort of truce with the SCC system. Stayed late and submitted my changes. MB called from a restaurant, eating with her friend C, who was living near New Orleans when Katrina hit. Mid-day I took a walk out and picked up some posters for the NST Intro course. Wandered through Tower Records, thinking about the transitive nature of self.

Stopped at the grocery store. They are selling Christmas items, and we're still a month off from Halloween.

Back home I unloaded the groceries. MB and Christine were chatting. I ate some leftover Thai food from MB while we all sat around having a conversation about the state of the world, and the US budget. Cleaned up. More guitar.
