Friday: Up around 8:30 as MB headed out feeling groggy. Web. Sitting. Shower. Laundry. On the road by 9:45.
Into Boston, and found parking. Sat in the dentist chair for quite some time. Was chatted up by various members of the staff. Friendly folks. Eventually Dr. Hart came and replaced my two front crowns. As I was sitting with my mouth wedged open, he inexplicably launched into an involved monologue about midgets, and their professions. Turns out he has a friend that is both a midget, and also a darn fine dentist. They were very generous, and did not charge me for the replacement of the crowns.
Stopped on my way back to the car to pick up a bagel, and a cup of tea. Suddenly the day seemed to be brightening. The people behind the counters smiled. And, although I had run out of time on the meter, my car was not ticketed. Still raining.
In to work. Some discussion about a new bug tracking system we are switching to. Fairly productive day, making some design decisions in the module I'm working on, and getting down to brass tacks. Lunch at my desk. No word from MB's cousin, so we planned a night in. Left work around 7:30.
Quite wet out on the roads, so decided to cut across town, rather than taking the highway. Back home, MB was watching a movie. I said hello and headed down basement for transplanted morning practices. Also did some cleaning. Emerged around 9:30. Guitar. MB and I hung out a while, then, I watched the season 1 finale of The Wire, on DVD.
