Monday: Up late again last night, and so, slept in a bit this morning. Then somehow what little time I had left in the AM, flew away, leaving me wondering how it had gotten to be the afternoon. I know that some of what I did consisted of doing some emailing, including communicating with the guys that wrote the buggy image gallery software I was attempting to work with yesterday, musing on the NEGC's new name, how to make the audio louder at KKC for people who are hard of hearing, Tvs about possibly buying a guitar I'm selling, and so on. Sitting, that I was intending to be brief, but stretched on. Abbreviated morning practices. Shower. Added some yogurt to a container of peaches that MB had sliced up for me, thereby packing a breakfast. Called the vet, but he wasn't in. Down basement briefly.
Stopped by KKC, and filled water bowls. Had to empty them first. Hot out, and threatening rain. I heard people moving about the house at KKC, but didn't see anyone. Headed on my way, making another stop at Micro Center, to buy a Firewire cable to connect a video camera to my laptop. Finally in to work. B is out this week. Spent all day working out bugs in the, now rather large, batch of code I've written over the last few weeks. Never heard from the vet. Talked briefly with Dv about some trivial UI issues. Read an article about a study which seems to indicate that cats have no ability to taste sweetness. Read another article saying that many Iraqis feel that their country is already involved in civil war. Also, how the Iraqi military and police forces are being infiltrated by insurgents. And its just getting worse. Listened to the terminal Chauncy CD. Very good... up there with Radiohead. And, to a Soundscapes disc (Live in Argentina). Good stuff. Got an email with a tone that was rather more harsh than it needed to be. But I was at fault, and so I apologized, without making excuses. Put something in place to avoid a recurrance. Worked until a bit after 9 PM,
Back home, and made a burrito while hanging out with MB. Ate, and talked about our days. Set up the laptop and the video camera and set a transfer going (Choden Rinpoche from last November.) Played guitar, trying out a thinner pick. Don't like the tone so much, but I can see how with some work it would help me to play faster. Worked on IBE bass-line, which I haven't looked at since 2003. Baby-sitting the movie transfer... Now down basement for practices.
