bad cheese is good

Thursday: Up a little after 8, as MB headed out. Feeling sluggish. Web, shower, fed cats. Down basement. Mild and sunny out today. Another long session today. Breakfast, and packed a lunch. MB said the cheese was spoiled, but it seemed OK to me. Packed the car with my electric rig, and headed to work. Psychic debris from yesterdays conversation still floating about.

A productive day at work, debugging more of the new system I've put in place. More to go, but good progress. B seemed in a good mood, as an old colleague is visiting tomorrow, and he's on vacation for a week. Gave Alx an old build of the app so he could debug something. Lunch at my desk. Headed out about 7:20.

Drove to Micro Center, and bought a hard drive and some blank DVDs. Along Memorial Drive, to Rt 2, and into Arlington for my rehearsal with Shawn. Good work, running though our current roster of 4 pieces a few times, then doing some looping. These pieces are almost seeming easy now, which is pretty amazing considering that only a few weeks ago we were struggling to get through them.

Gave Shawn a ride back to his place. He loaned me a couple of Soundscape disks, and gave me a zucchini and an onion out of the garden. I also bought a copy of the terminal Chauncy CD... looks great. Haven't listened to it yet. Stopped and got some milk and cheese at a little convenience store.

Back home, MB had left some books on top of her car. Unloaded my stuff. Said hello. We chatted as I put things away in the kitchen. She had attended a neighborhood meeting. A park nearby is used for the vending of illicit narcotics. A kid was beaten up and left for dead in our neighbor's front lawn. I ate some leftover Chinese food, listening to the BBC try to make sense of the failed repeat bombings on London.
