Water in the basement/Syriana

Wednesday: Up around 9. MB was working from home today. Shower. Made some eggs, toast and soy sausages for MB and me. Breakfast with the wife. Email. Down basement. Put away gear from the recording session. Found that there was water seeping into the basement along the east wall. Mopped, and kicked on the sump pump. Morning practices. On emerging, MB had left to go get her snow-tires put on. Headed off to work.

More exploration of the performance characteristics of the new scheme I've put in place. Tried different duty cycles. Did some in-depth profiling, and decided to try to reduce the number of context switches going on. Took a walk out and tried to send the wire transfer again. This time I was told that I didn't have all the information I needed. Picked up a burrito. Back at my desk, listened to the recordings from last night. Pretty good. Headed off at 8:45.

Back home, and then with MB out to see Syriana. Excellent movie, though not a 'feel good' flick. Back home, enjoying talking about the film. Work on our Christmas letter, and gift buying.
