Deliverd the Wheel

Thursday: Woke as MB headed out, around 8:30. Soon out of bed, and email. Down basement briefly, and said good-morning to Tny. Shower. Morning practices in the dance room. Hung the wreath mom bought us on the front door. Knocked on the basement door to see if Tny wanted a ride, but no answer. Headed out.

First stop KKC. Delivered the prayer wheel with all the mantras wound up inside it. It was quite fun, mounting it on its spindle with Geshela and Ngawang. Then, we tried to decide where it should go. Off to work.

A good day in the office. Told B and Dv about my "off" idea, and eventually won them over. Got my new reorganization to the point of running and crashing. Realized I had made a mistake in my understanding of the way that multiple inheritance works when you're dealing with an opaque C style interface (as I am, in part). (Basically, in these cases MI is a bad idea, since you need language support to correctly adjust the "this" pointer.) Had reworked that and hit one more minor problem, just as it was time to leave. My work day today was, to the minute the same length as my work day yesterday.

Got to KKC 5 minutes early. What a difference 5 minutes can make. Got the wireless mics all turned on and working, so few problems with the sound tonight. More transmissions. I wasn't as able to be present tonight. A bit sleepy. Wnd was off helping her friend Se. Talked to a woman from LYWA about the horrible image gallery software. Started a download of MP3 files from the recorder. Talked to Ed about Wnd. Gave Tny a ride back.

Said goodnight to Tny as he headed down basement. Fed the cats. Flopped on the couch. MB called to say she was on her way home. Ate some Spanikopita, and made some quicky soup. MB arrived and we hung out as I ate. Talked about moving to Denmark. Or maybe Holland. And, what goes into being depressed.

An email in the early afternoon left me in a state of mild despair for the rest of the day. But, I might not have felt this way, if I'd gotten more sleep last night.
