Monday: Woke at 6 AM with MB. Decided to get up. Shower. She headed off to a doctor's apt. Breakfast. Went over to KKC. Turns out I was wrong about when Ngawang and Hln leave for India: 8 PM, not 8 AM. Filled water bowls. Lama Sonam was there doing a long recitation. Talked to a woman from South Africa who is visiting the center. Stopped to get coffee and a tasty thing on my way home. Sat around in a daze for about an hour, trying to decide whether or not to take a nap. Eventually the coffee kicked in. Down basement for morning practices. Winding. Laundry.
Headed to work. A lovely day out, and cold. Got an egg-salad sandwich and a coffee from T's. Came to the depressing conclusion that despite all my work, the new code didn't behave much better than the old. Did a bunch of research with Mk's help on how our competitor's product works in this case. Fiddled with my code, and eventually began to see how I might improve the situation. Ate my lunch for a dinner, sort of. Stayed late. Gave MB a call. She called back around midnight. Headed home about 1 AM. Stopped for some pizza. Detour on the road heading home.
Hanging with the cats. Email. Watching a strange battle between censorship and inclusivity in an online community.
