Friday: Up around 8:30 as MB headed out. Web, shower, fed cats and down basement. Feeling sort of sluggish and wobbly today. Paid bills. Had some breakfast, and then headed out. Realized that there were a couple of packages waiting on the front steps, one of which was my contour gauge for describing the arc of my favorite guitar necks. Played with this for a moment before heading on my way.
Another warm one today, though a bit overcast. Dropped some bills in the po box at the end of my street. At work, doing my best to keep typing. Sometimes, when there are too many details to think about, its best just to urge the hands to do something, even if you're not completely sure of the big picture. By the end of the day I'd made substantial process. If this new design works, it will be significantly simpler than the old one, and more efficient also. So, the process I'm involved in is sort of 'subtractive coding'... mostly I'm deleting stuff that is no longer needed, and then patching up the scars. Lunch at my desk. Some consultation with Dv. Talked with B and Al about the problems involved in accurately placing something in a context, when the thing you are placing actually changes the context. B's wife showed up, but he had already left. Worked late, heading home around 9:30.
At the ranch, played some guitar. Had a conversation with MB about who keeps who up late. More guitar.
