Thursday: Woke a bit before MB. Her alarm went off. The cats were playing soccer on my forehead. Actually Leo was sleepily tucked in in the crook of my arm. It was just Gus that was being a nuisance. Imagine that. Helped MB get up, and I got up as well. I took a shower right around the time she was heading out. Brief web. Stretching. Had some breakfast. Got pulled into a small recording project. Down basement for morning practices. Sleepy. Did some vacuuming. A bright and cool morning. Packed my electric rig into the car, and was on my way.
In at work, I continued my efforts in the reconfiguration of the libraries memory sub-system. This was relatively easy, since I wrote all the code, and I've thought things through pretty thoroughly. The front desk accidently sent me an email they shouldn't have. My outgoing email was not working. Mtw doesn't understand why I don't use Apple's email program. A meeting with the hardware folks was taking place in my office for much of the day. I walked out and got a burrito for lunch. Back at the office, I didn't want to disturb the meeting, so I ate in an empty office. Good progress on my project, though there is some weirdness going on with linking, that I think has to do with the way I'm building the debug version. Talked to B and J about wave transit time and phase coherence. Left work at 8:15. Got a coffee.
Arlington: Shawn had pushed our meeting later a half hour to 8:30 (though the dinner he was hoping to attend didn't happen). A slightly sleepy rehearsal. I guessed a surprise that he was planning for me. Should be quite interesting. We ran through all of our material, and then did some work on another GC classic. Gave him a lift back to his place.
Headed home, talking to MB on the cell on the way. She went out to a ballet performance tonight with her dance instructor B. Sounded like they had a good time. Arrived back at my house a little before 11 PM. Some hanging with MB. I ate a funny conglomeration of left-overs for a late dinner. She headed off to wind her day up. Cleaning up. A few last things for me, and then to bed for me as well.
H Myers' bid for the supreme court ended today. The days are getting short. Not looking forward to daylight savings time, which begins this weekend.
