Kirti Tsenshab Rinpoche

Monday: MB headed out. I slept in a bit, in a fitful sort of way. Late getting to bed last night. The phone rang, and I answered it. Fd from KKC letting me know he'd fill the water bowls today. Shower. Brief sitting.

Headed over to KKC, arriving around 11. Hung out waiting for Kirti Tsenshab Rinpoche to arrive. Hm and his very cute yonger daughter, Wendy, Fd, Tsunma-la, in attendance. The lama arrived about 11:30, and went straight upstairs. I helped carry his bags in. The non-monastics, including myself, all had tea and goodies down in the teaching room. Feeling sleepy. Headed out, around noon. Over to our cat-sitters, to drop off a check.

In to work, first picking up a coffee and a muffin. Getting closer to figuring out my bandwidth issue. Looks like a bug in my scheduler. Some interesting talks with B and Eln related to some issues that are close to my interests in this field. Several bugs in my in-box, which I'm ignoring for the moment. Walked out and got some quick pizza, watching the latest incarnation of "Family Feud." The question that was stumping the participants: "In which room of the house is a man most likely to commit murder." B picked up our conversation just as I was about to leave. Headed out at 6:35.

Arrived at KKC just after 7. First and enjoyable sweet rice and tea ceremony with Kirti Tsenshab Rinpoche, and then, much chanting and cookies. I drifted in and out, but felt quite lucky just to be in this teacher's presence. A Franciscan Friar was hanging out with us. I think I had seen this fellow in H Sq before. Nice to see some cross pollination going on. Rinpoche had some kind words for us in the end, about the center, and caring for the sick and dying. I helped clean up a little, then headed out.

Back home, put away cookies and groceries with MB. Hung out a bit, talking about our days, how skinny the cats are getting, and so on. Now, she's watching a belly dance video. I still need to address some daily practice.
