Jun, after break

Thursday: Up a little after 7:30. Sitting of sorts. Shower. Morning practices. Phone rang, but didn't answer it. Later when I checked messages, it was Shawn saying he needed to cancel tonight's rehearsal. This actually worked well for me. Fed the cats. Packed the car and headed out.

More great weather, though a little humid today. Went to Jun's for the first time in over a month (he's been in Japan). I was feeling a little sheepish, because I hadn't put as much time into my homework as I would have liked. He talked about some exercises, and then we worked on some improvisation. We're going to play a little recital at the end of the month. I walked out, and got an energy drink (why so expensive?) and some pizza. Sat in my car eating.

In to work. The mysterious bandwidth issue remains mysterious, although I unraveled a little of it. Part of the problem was, I was looking at the median, when actually the average was quite a bit better (I was expecting the throughput to be more consistent, which is why looking at the median seemed to make sense... but actually there was a fairly even distribution, so the average gave a better picture.) Walked out and got coffee and a burrito. Found a bug that was causing things to get gummed up if part of the process took too long. Headed home around 9.

Put a picture in a frame. Changed strings on my guitar and raised the action slightly, also resetting the position of the bridge pick-up. Better tone, although now I think the action is a little too high. Packed a bit. Went out and got a veggie burger at a fast food joint. Printed out directions, a note for the cat sitter, and so on. Still a bit of guitar practice to do, then bed.
