putting up flyers

Sunday: Slept in, after an even later than usual night. Cats. Up and breakfast with MB (granola and yogurt). Shower. More work on flyers. Down basement. Hot out. On the way down I saw MB talking to neighbor B holding a dish towel on her head to protect herself from the sun.

I came up just as MB was heading out to practice with Bn. Astonishingly, it was 5 PM. Ate some lasagna, listening to the birthday disc, which is actually quite fun. Headed out as MB was coming in. Duplicated flyers, and hung some in Davis and Porter. Stopped and got an energy drink on the way home.

Before long, MB and I headed off, driving in separate cars, to guitar circle meeting. Arriving at the dojo, the door was not open yet, so I walked across the street and bought some cokes and peppermint patties.

David arrived just as we were getting settled. Some work on the 16 bar exercise, then Third Relation. Then Askesis. Victor addressed some "hand issues." We talked about near term goals: Rehearsing for our gigs in July, some communication he has had with RF lately, possible performance venues (an art gallery in JP has offered us their space for ongoing use), and what to do with the Roundhouse in November. Victor said that he's at a point where he really needs to work on technical mastery. He also had some comments on the sort of "modeling" that can take place when one spends time with someone who has achieved that level. Eye of the Needle. With my new place in the circle, I find that I must pull my volume way back, because Victor and MB need to work out timing. Thrak, which was pretty good. MB had to leave early for a BD gig. David Victor and I worked on Intergalactic Boogie and Bicycling.

Stopped for a late night fast food veggie burger on my way home. Email. Soon down basement.
