Perfect view of the industrial park

Saturday: Slept in some. When I got up MB had headed off to do Tai Chi and then go to RI to tend to her BD accessory trade. Did some of my morning practice in the dance room. Decided to go down basement before eating anything. When I emerged later on, scrambled some eggs, which I ate on the back patio. MB had left a message while I was in the basement saying traffic was bad on 95 North, but she arrived back before too much time had passed. She told me how she had tried to be clever, seeking an alternate route, but wound up going in a big circle. She had some lunch and I practiced guitar.

We went for a long bike ride around Somerville, exploring the edge of the Mystic River as it heads towards the harbor. Some of the things we saw: An inflatable "jumping" castle at the grocery store. Birds nesting in the grass. People fishing and playing soccer. A memorial to a Vietnam vet and avid fisherman. An old boat in an auto junkyard. Where bus "waiting booths" go to die. A round brick building. A tannery. A lovely, broad, almost unused boardwalk, constructed with a perfect view of the Everett power-plant. A fully festooned house... and so on. It was threatening rain, so we headed home. We stopped on the way and got ice-cream (I'd forgotten MB doesn't like the taste of the wood in ice-cream on a stick) and sodas.

I spent most of the rest of the day working on making a quick mix of the material recorded at my 40th birthday in November. We decided not to go see a movie. I did some work on a flyer... Is it just me, or is the Mac software "Pages" pretty brain damaged? Also the name "Pages" makes googling on it rather unfruitful. They ought to keep AppleWorks going. I sent out a funny email about that today. A very late night for Glenny.
