Monday: MB gave me a nudge as she was heading out around 9. Slept more. Yes, another late night. When I got up, web, cats, shower, then down basement. Practiced guitar, and headed out. A quite warm day, with some clouds and haze.
Over to KKC. The garbage had not been taken yet, so I couldn't return the bins to around back as I usually do. Emptied and filled water bowls. There was broken glass on the floor of the kitchen which I swept up. Talked to Jf about laptops. Off to work.
Spent most of the day working on the nasty dynamic_cast problem in Apple's C++ runtime. Took a walk out to buy some supplements, but the small natural foods store I was heading to had ceased operations. Went to a chain instead. Wandered into a soap shop next door. Went to get some pizza, but again the person that would hand my my slices was elbow deep in raw meat. I took my business elsewhere, getting a tofu wrap down the street. The rest of the afternoon was spent learning about Python and the Universal Binary format. MB is still sick, and canceled her BD class. Headed home around 8.
Stopped at the Market Basket in Somerville and picked up a few essentials. A lovely older woman of African descent hummed to herself as she walked down the isle. I found the tune quite delightful. Speaking of which, listen to this 1975 recording of postal workers in Ghana canceling stamps. Back home, and tending to my sick wife. We ate a potato together, and she read me a story about a guy getting stuck on a cliff by a beach. Some more guitar. Soon down basement, and with luck an early night.
