Third Anniversary

Wednesday: Up around 8:30, feeling buzzy today as well, although not as much as other days following yoga. Expectation... Decided to cut the grass before taking my shower. Lovely weather out. Probably the nicest spring day we've had so far. The grass was longer than I like to let it get before cutting, so the job took a bit longer than usual. Afterwards, laundry, and breakfast. MB had left me a nice little book of 'coupons' for our anniversary. I looked at that while eating breakfast. Called the DPW and asked about disposing of old smoke detectors. Shower. Down basement for morning practices. Ordered a book online. Headed out. Talked to Cln next-door about the new porch they just had built. She wasn't as happy about it as I expected her to be.

Picked up some fire wood and charcoal brickettes at the grocery. Headed over to the mall and bought some cookware as a house gift to ourselves. The ladies ringing me up seemed quite flummoxed by the cash register. I declined their offer of a discount for opening a charge account. In to work (finally).

Solid code produced on my new project. B seemed harried today. Don't know why. Ate MB's lunch from yesterday (she'd forgotten it). Brief day. Enjoyable little conversation with Mk. Consulted with Chs on semaphore implementations. Left a little after 7.

MB was in the kitchen when I arrived. We opened presents (glasses, pans) and then she got back to her cooking. I lit the charcoal out in the fire-pit. This was it's inaugural fire. (Been sitting unused since Christmas). Back inside, I made veggie and tempeh shish-kabobs, marinated with olive oil, tamari and stir-fry sauce. Popped them on the grill. We lit tiki torches. MB made rice.
We ate outside. After cleaning up, MB took out the trash and I bundled up the boxes the pans came in. We watched an installment of "The Wire" on DVD. MB did some sewing. Guitar for me. She's off to bed. Me to follow soon.
