The iMac Graveyard

Tuesday: Slept deeply, waking around 10 AM. MB was working at home today, and she was talking on the phone. Shower. Fed cats. Down basement for semi-abbreviated morning practices. Laundry. MB got her car inspected, and needed a few things taken care of. Walked with MB over to the polling station (firehouse) and cast ballots in the local elections. The mayor was running unopposed. The most contested slots were for the alderman positions.

In to work. Coffee and muffin. A long day. Continuing reinventing code that I wrote about seven years ago, that has been dutifully functioning ever since. Some consulting with Dv about how this will fit into a subsystem over which he has dominion. Also some consulting with Dnl and B about a feature that Dnl is working on. Often times with a large code base, the path of least resistance is the only viable solution. Or, put another way, you have to pick your battles. Lunch at my desk. Horrible reports about the use of white phosphorus and napalm-like substances in Fallujah. Headed home around 10 PM.

A quick noodle soup, hanging with MB in the kitchen. She had reorganized some of the shelves in our office, but didn't know what to do with my stuff. Practiced a little guitar. Email. Some concluding practices, and then bed.
