mini me

Friday: Up, and web surfing. Found an inexpensive Mac mini on craigslist. Arranged to pick it up. Shower. Fed Oscar. Smoothie. Some guitar. Realized it was getting late for my appointment. Down basement and morning practices. Brief drums. Drove out.

Lovely day, and quite warm. Up to the city of Lynn. Hit an ATM. Friendly guy, sold me his year-old 1.86ghz Mac mini for $400. Across the Tobin Bridge and to work. A little chat with B. More turning longs into long longs, and good progress. Got a nacho plate from the chain Mexican place downstairs. Stayed until around 7:30.

Hit traffic on the way home. Picked up MB and we drove to the movie theater in Revere. We were a little late for the movie we wanted to see, and it was sold out, so called movie-fone, and found something else. Back to Somerville, parking in Davis Square, walked to the Somerville Theater. Who is that looking at us from a poster!? MB got a coffee at the crepe place next to the theater. In our seats, had to bounce up and down like kangaroos letting people in and out of the aisle. Popcorn. Saw the Bourne Ultimatum. Perhaps not as good as the first two, but still fun.

Back home, hello to Oscar. Some guitar with MB (reviewing the circle of fifths, Third Relation) then some practice on my own. Down basement and setting up the mini, and installing software. Soon to complete the day.
