The Hellboys in Alston

Tuesday: Woke around 7 AM. Downstairs and sitting on the couch while MB showered. Bowl of cereal and green tea. The plumbers showed up not long after, and installed a vent so the furnace could draw air directly from outside. About twice as much as I was expecting. Elevensies, two fried eggs on toast. Fed Oscar. Shower. New strings on the Ovation, watching Young Frankenstein. Ordered strings from Cambridge Music. Down basement and lots of email. Drums. Saw Rth. She'd managed to rent the top floor of the house, so the heat is off her to sell for now. This is a good outcome all around.

In to work. More slogging longs to long longs. Pizza. Later yogurt and a candy bar.

Around 8:30, I called Victor. He was in a recording session in Alston with the Hellboys. Headed over. Spent a bit of time kicking around the studio with Tony, Curt, Victor, Tom R and Luciano. (Gave Luciano the laptop batteries he'd ordered). They played me some of a song titled "Rivers of Pee." MB called. Then, Victor headed home, and the remaining 5 of us walked over to the Sunset Grill some supper. After eating we walked back to the studio. They loaded the car, then I said goodbye. Drove back home, looping around on Storrow. Now, down basement for email and to complete the day.
