Bush is Iraq's Vietnam

ednesday: Gus served as a very good alarm clock this morning. Not much sleep. Brief email, shower, Gus. Down basement, sitting and drums. Took a walk up to the ATM. Saw a guy measuring the house a couple of doors down. Asked if he was the new owner, but now. Got a slice of pizza on the way back. Breakfast of champions. No sign of the cleaning people. Set up an email list for some collaboration I'm involved in. Problems. Headed off to work.

Got a coffee and a slice of something at Starbucks. Slogged through a heap of changes, while multi-tasking, trying to get the email list working. There is a hierarchy of background task objects. The base class had a structure in it (for historical reasons) that was specific to only a small subset of the subclasses. I'm having to remove this now. The iPod HiFi bag arrived.

At 7:30, met Shawn and headed to Arlington. He was afraid some parts of his drum kit had been lost by a "friend" he had lent them to. Turned out they were just put away incorrectly. A pretty good rehearsal, me just on acoustic. Thrak was sounding just about ready for the stage. Shawn recorded our session on his old cassette recorder. Stopped at the Diesel Cafe for coffee on the way home. Talking about what's next for The Church of Flying Dreams.

Back at the ranch, a little hanging out with MB, helping her with some music for a performance tomorrow. Talking about deep sea fish. Checking out the bag for the HiFi. Down basement. Figured out what my problem was with the mailing list. Email. Web.

Tonight, I managed to both say "Vietnam is Bush's Iraq" and "Vietnam is Iraq's Bush." I need more sleep.
